Crafting the Prototype

From day one, our vision was clear: ODUN had to be durable, functional, and portable. The early prototypes were built entirely by hand. Every radius bend was shaped manually, every weld completed with care. These handcrafted models proved to be even stronger than expected, but naturally, they came at a high cost. That is why this campaign matters. With your support, we can transition from artisan prototypes to optimized large-scale production; without compromising the soul of ODUN.

Precision in Welding & Assembly

Unlike many outdoor stoves, ODUN’s body is fully welded, with no fasteners except for moving parts. This makes welding the most critical element of quality.

• In-house expertise: Welding, assembly, and quality control will take place in our own workshop.

• Robotic precision: For mass production, robotic welding will guarantee consistent quality while reducing costs.

• Perfect alignment: Fixtures ensure every weld point is placed with the same accuracy.

This combination of artisanal craftsmanship and modern technology creates a product that is both beautiful and unbreakable.

Strength Meets Portability

A common question from those who have seen our prototypes is: “Isn’t the steel too thin?”  In reality, durability is not simply about thickness; it is about how the material responds to heat.

• Rounded forms increase resistance to stress.

• Double-walled sections protect the most exposed areas.

• Thinner steel reduces weight, making ODUN light enough to carry without sacrificing durability.

The result: A stove that is as strong as it is portable, redefining outdoor cooking for a new generation.

Coating & Surface Durability

The coating of ODUN is another crucial detail. It must resist both high temperatures and long-term use.

• We are testing a German-engineered coating designed to last for years without additional curing.

• If performance falls short, we will apply a triple curing process, far beyond industry standards; to ensure no toxic fumes and maximum endurance.

• Our stainless steel model, ODUN S, eliminates the need for coating entirely but will undergo extended burn tests to validate its resilience.

Our Manufacturing Philosophy

We could have outsourced everything to a single overseas factory. It would have been cheaper, faster, and easier. But ODUN is not meant to be ordinary.

Our team has years of experience designing and producing for the defense industry. Manufacturing is not a burden, it is our strength. That is why:

• Welding, assembly, and quality control remain in-house.

• Trusted suppliers provide only specialized components: glass windows, thermometers, grills, and pizza stones.

• Depending on funding levels, we may invest in enhanced components and will share R&D updates transparently with our backers.

The spirit of ODUN is born in our workshop, and only the best global partners help complete the picture.

Production Timeline

• October 2025 → Campaign launch & order collection

• November 2025 → Mold and fixture design begins

• December 2025 → Mold production completed, workshop preparations

• January 2026 → First production prototypes + durability tests

• February 2026 → First batch shipped to premium backers for early feedback

• March 2026 → Feedback phase & product refinements

• April 2026 → Large-volume production + quality control

• May 2026 → Global shipping begin.
